RTL, the national broadcaster of Luxembourg, have confirmed that they will not be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest next year in Rotterdam.

RTL has stated that participation would put the broadcaster under a financial strain. The focus at RTL is news programming, rather than music and entertainment.
