#ESCAPED: How Monaco Avoided ‘Nul Points’ In The Grand Final

In this new series from Eurovision Ireland, we will be taking a look at the participating countries and their entries that have avoided the dreaded ‘Nul Points’ in the Grand Final – thanks to just one other participating country. Today we look at Monaco.

1959

In 1959, Monaco was represented by Jacques Pills in Cannes. “Mon ami Pierrot” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Austrian Jury awarding Monaco just 1 point. Monaco finished 11th/last.
