Eyebrows were raised when Spain did not feature on the participant’s list for the postponed Eurovision Young Musicians – due to have been held in Zagreb, on Sunday 21st June.

Due to the end of “Clasicos y Reverentes”, the show that was used to select their 2018 participant and budgetary issues, RTVE were still making a decision on participation when the list of participating countries were announced.

While RTVE are focussing on the Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Song Contest, they are still open to a possible participation at the postponed 2020 Eurovision Young Musicians – dependent on the new date.
