Could we see a Bulgarian return to the Eurovision Song Contest in The Netherlands next year? BNT, the Bulgarian broadcaster, revealed details in a tweet last Thursday.

After revealing that the country wouldn’t be returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, which was not a surprise to anyone, more news was revealed. A decision on participation at the Eurovision Song Contest next year will be made but the end of September.

Bulgaria withdrew from the Contest after the 2018 edition – however this isn’t the first time they have withdrawn, when they missed the 2014 & 2015 Contests too. Since their return to the Contest in 2016, Bulgaria had qualified for the Grand Final at each attempt.
