Tonight , last year’s hosts , Portugal started its search for their 2019 entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv , Israel. The first semi -final took place in  Lisbon at RTP’s studios in Lisbon  ( last year’s host city ) .Eight Acts performed with the  aim of reaching the Festival  da Cançao Grand Finale in Portimao .Results were determined by a 50:50 Jury /Public vote . The top four who have qualified for the Final where they will fight for the Golden Ticket to Tel Aviv are :
