
We have seen all of this year’s participating countries rehearse once so far this year – but what about the countries thats have participated in the Contest previously?
Cyprus
Cyprus first took part at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, when it was held in Copenhagen, in 2003. They participated in nine contests – 2003 – 2004, 2006 – 2009, 2014, 2016 – 2017, before eventually withdrawing before the 2018 edition.
Cyprus had mixed success in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came at the 2004 and 2006 Contests, which were held in Lillehammer, Norway and Bucharest, Romania. Marios Tofi finished in 8th place with his entry “Oneira”.

Latvia
Latvia first took part at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, when it was held in Copenhagen, in 2003. They participated in five Contests – 2003 – 2005, 2010 – 2011, before eventually withdrawing before the 2012 edition.
Latvia had mixed success in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came at the 2003 Contest, which was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dzintars Cica finished in 9th place with their entry “Tu esi vasara”.
