WATCH The Heroes Welcome Jamala Receives On Her Return To Ukraine After Eurovision Victory

Eurovision 2016 is already being touted as one of the moments of the contest’s history – some say good and others disagree. Whatever your preference Jamala from Ukraine won the contest in a nail-biting new voting sequence watched by a ‘Million Voices’ on twitter it would seem.

The scramble to catch the first words from Jamala back on home soil saw the notional media literally on the runway before the plane had landed.

The reaction inside the airport was jubilant as they crowd chanted Jamala’s name out across the masses at Boryspil International Airport.

And for those who could not get into the terminal there were chanting for the ‘1944’ singer to make an appearance. A moment in time that the Ukrainians had something to celebrate.

Jamala won Eurovision on Saturday night in Stockholm and has caused a media frenzy around the world. What next for the singer. Time will tell!
