The Common Linnets are set to be the best present that us European’s will give our friends in America this Christmas and it is a bumper present too!

The Common Linnets continue their journey to world-wide star status as they will be appearing on ‘An American Christmas’ album along with some of the biggest names in country/folk music like Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash to name but a few.

The Common Linnets have composed an original song for the album called ‘At Christmas Time’ – See HERE If a band needed a calling card for the American music market then this is certainly it!

Also the band have posted what they call a ‘Work-Tape’ video of new material. After they write a new song they record it so they can go back and produce it fully later. This time around they have made a video of just that – a new song that is not on their current album (hopefully their sophomore album). The song is called ‘Dust of Oklahoma’. We like this a lot and the band will be performing some of their new material on their upcoming tour.

Just to mix things up the band have published a version of Lady Gaga’s ‘Gypsy’ – dare we say that we prefer it to the original! Shhh don’t tell Gaga!

To say that we are excited for The Common Linnets is an understatement. They are certainly working hard for their success and long may it last.
