Iceland – Tonight Iceland selected their representative for Eurovision 2014. The final of Söngvakeppnin 2014 from the Háskólabíó in Reykjavik took place.
After the 6 finalists performed the Top Two went into the Superfinal to perform once more.

- Pollapönk – Enga fordóma

After a further tele vote the winner was declared as Pollapönk

Iceland will compete in the first half of the first Semi Final at Eurovision on May 6th.

I think this will be lucky if it makes it into the Final – its saving grace is that less acts will be knocked out of the SFs so Iceland might just scrape through…
I’m not really terribly disappointed with it either. Wasn’t a favourite of mine, but it’s fun and cute. Curious to see if Iceland can advance into the final with it.
I don’t mind this representing Iceland, I quite like it, but I think some of the others might have stood a better chance. We’ll see. Good luck to them.
