MALTA – Tonight Malta held their Semi-Final in their search for their Maltese National Final. 20 acts competed in the semi final. The news that will talked of is how both returning Eurovision Representatives Fabrizio Faniello (2001 & 2006) and Miriam Christine (1996) failed to progress to the Grand Final.
After the jury and televotes were combined the acts that progressed to Saturday’s Grand Final were (in no particular order)

I wanted Fab & Olivia in the final – they made it onto my ipod (not that that’s much consolation to them, but still…).
‘Take Me’ by Pamela was my favourite, but I liked most of the finalists, and like the winner too.
