Azerbaijan’s 2010 Eurovision Representative Safura – brought her country to 5th place at the contest with her song “Drip Drop”. What has become of her since the contest?

Well she has recently gotten married – so we here at the Eurovision Ireland Team wish her a long and happy marriage.

We had the pleasure of meeting Safura in Baku in 2012 and she was extremely friendly and welcoming and let me tell you – that woman knows how to dance. I found it hard to keep up with her at times!

It is expected that Safura will be concentrating on her new married life for the next few months but we hope for new music from her later in the year.

Safura’s most recent song in Azerbaijan was “Sev ve Men” – a great electronic pop song with slight ethnic influences. We would certainly like more of this music from Safura.
