Moldova selected their Eurovision Representative for 2013 tonight in the last national final of the Eurovision season. After 2 semifinals there were 14 acts in the Grand Final. They performed as follows
- Cristina V. & Glam Girls – Celebrate
- Boris Covali – Runaways
- Cristina Croitoru & Karizma – Never fall again
- Svetlana Bogdanova – Conquer my heart
- Nicoleta Gavriliţă (NiCo) – Freaky thong
- Aurel Chirtoacă – Iartă-mă
- Irina Kitoroagă – L.O.V.E. Love
- Anna Gulko – Somebody else
- Vitalie Negruţă – You’ll be mine
- Cristina Scarlat – I pray
- Doiniţa Gherman – Planeta e un rai
- Tatiana Heghea – A brighter day
- Felicia Dunaf – Codename Felice
- Aliona Moon – A million
As in the semi finals the result will be decided by a 50/50 split vote between tele-voting and a jury vote. Cătălin Josan and Evelina Vîrlan were the hosts with the highly energetic Lucian Dumitrescu on Green Room Duty.
After all the acts had performed the interval act were the Marcel Ştefăneţ Project with guests performed many Eurovision hits like “Diva”, “Qele-Qele”, “Nije ljubav stvar”, “Always”, “Fairytale”, “Believe” and “Waterloo” to name but a few.
Alyona Lanskaya from Belarus then took to the stage to perform her 2013 Eurovision entry “Solayoh” despite the Moldovan host Cătălin introducing the song as “Rhythm of Love” which was well received by the Moldovan audience.
The Televoting was announced and the top 3 were
1st – Boris Covali – Runaways
2nd – Aliona Moon – A million
3rd – Cristina Croitoru & Karizma – Never fall again
Then the Jury voting changed everything
1st Aliona Moon – A million
2nd Cristina Scarlat – I pray
3rd Boris Covali – Runaways
Therefore the winner was announced as Aliona Moon – “A million”

The song “A Million” was composed by Moldova’s Eurovision entrant in 2012 Pasha Parfeny along with Yuliana Scutari, Serghei Legheida who provided the lyrics and will represent Moldova at Eurovision 2013

The song itself is quite good, but firstly those dancers are annoying and secondly can the girl not move, she looks like one of those old dolls for holding toilet paper.
The dress and hair and dancers were rather distracting at times. A good song though Sean. We thought Boris and “Runaways” was going to win
Not a fan, sorry. there were better options but I wish Aliona well. She’ll need to improve her diction which is awful. It’s also very repetitive. Not sure it will qualify. Good luck Moldova.
The Jury vote overturned the public vote which was interesting?
She is now singing in Moldovan, Martin. The song sounds much better.
