
It’s June and it’s Pride month. Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are going to highlight some of the LGBTQ+ artists to have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.
For June 10th, we are continuing with Salvador Sobral. He represented Portugal, with “Amar pelos dois”, taking 1st place with 758 points. Salvador Sobral is Intersex. You can watch his performance of “Amar pelos dois” below:
Intersex is the term used to describe a person who may have the biological attributes of both sexes or whose biological characteristics do not fit within traditional societal assumptions about what it means to be male or female.
