
This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, Ireland will be marking 60 years since their first participation. Today we continue with 1965.
1971 – “One Day Love”
In 1971, when the Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland, Angela Farrell represented Ireland with “One Day Love”. Angela finished in 11th place and 79 points.
1972 – “Ceol an Ghrá”
In 1972, when the Contest was held in Edinburgh, the United Kingdom, Sandie Jones represented Ireland with “Ceol an Ghrá”. Sandie finished in 15th place and 72 points.
1973 – “Do I Dream?”
In 1973, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Maxi represented Ireland with “Do I Dream?”. Maxi finished in 10th place and 80 points.
1974 – “Cross Your Heart”
In 1974, when the Contest was held in Brighton, the United Kingdom, Tina Reynolds represented Ireland with “Cross Your Heart”. Tina finished in 7th place and 11 points.
1975 – “That’s What Friends Are For”
In 1975, when the Contest was held in Stockholm, Sweden, The Swarbriggs represented Ireland with “That’s What Friends Are For”. The Swarbriggs finished in 9th place and 68 points.
1976 – “When?”
In 1976, when the Contest was held in The Hague, the Netherlands, Red Hurley represented Ireland with “When?”. Red finished in 10th place and 54 points.
