🇮🇪 #IRELAND: 60 Years At Eurovision – Part 1/10

This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, Ireland will be marking 60 years since their first participation. Today we start from the beginning, in 1965.

1965 – “I’m Walking the Streets in the Rain”

In 1965, when the Contest was held in Naples, Italy, Butch Moore represented Ireland with “I’m Walking the Streets in the Rain”. Butch finished in 6th place and 11 points.

1966 – “Come Back to Stay”

In 1966, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Dickie Rock represented Ireland with “Come Back to Stay”. Dickie finished in 4th place and 14 points.

1967 – “If I Could Choose”

In 1967, when the Contest was held in Vienna, Austria, Sean Dunphy represented Ireland with “If I Could Choose”. Sean finished in 2nd place and 22 points.

1968 – “Chance of a Lifetime”

In 1968, when the Contest was held in London, the United Kingdom, Pat McGeegan represented Ireland with “Chance of a Lifetime”. Pat finished in 4th place and 18 points.

1969 – “The Wages of Love”

In 1969, when the Contest was held in Madrid, Spain, Muriel Day represented Ireland with “The Wages of Love”. Muriel finished in 7th place and 10 points.

1970 – “All Kinds of Everything”

In 1970, when the Contest was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Dana represented Ireland with “All Kinds of Everything”. Dana finished in 1st place and 32 points.
