SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have announced the opening act for heat four of Melodifestivalen 2025 – their national selection for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
Ace Wilder will open Melodifestivalen in Malmö – and will do so with a new version of her iconic Melodifestivalen hit “Busy Doin’ Nothin’” (which can be seen below) – together with this year’s host Edvin Törnblom and Keyyo. After years of singing and dancing behind several international artists on tours around the world, Ace Wilder took to the Melodifestivalen stage for the first time in 2014 with the song “Busy Doin’ Nothin'”. After her breakthrough, Ace Wilder returned to Melodifestivalen on two occasions – in 2016 with the song “Don’t Worry”, which finished in third place, and in 2017 with the entry “Wild Child”.
Following this announcement, Ace Wilder had the following to say:
“Competing in Melodifestivalen changed my life, so when they contacted me and asked me to participate in the programme, I knew that not even giving birth would stop me from participating! Sharing the stage with Edvin and Keyyo makes the whole thing even more fun.”
