It has been reported that nearly 500,000 Ticketcorner accounts have been registered to purchase tickets for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
Ticketcorner are now checking the registered accounts ahead of the first ticket sale on Wednesday 29th January. While Thomas Pittino, the Head of Marketing for the Eurovision Song Contest had briefed SRF, the Swiss national broadcaster, on the number of registrations, he also recognised that all 500,000 may not ball be genuine. Thomas Pittino had the following to say:
“We have to assume that between a third and a half of the registrations are so-called bots, i.e. fake accounts.”
