We’re are only just into the start of Eurovision 2024 week and already, Denmark have announced their plans for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix next year. DR , Denmark’s national broadcaster have announced that the contest will next year move away from Copenhagen and back to the more familiar venue of Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning .The date has been set for 1st March 2025.

Erik Struve Hansen , the Head of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and the Danish Eurovision delegation had this to say:

” This year the Danish Melodi Grand Prix gathered more than a million people for a music party in living rooms across the country . I look forward to us gathering people again for a festive evening in the spirit of music , which in 2025 will be direct from the Boxen in Herning.

The ambition is to continue the beats from this year and give the Danes a huge Grand Prix party created by the upcoming artists and the hosts and Boxen can create a good setting for that “

Tickets will go on sale on 7th May at 12 noon CEST .

This year Denmark is represented by Saba with the song “Sand ” . She will be in the Second Semi-Final on Thursday evening , when she will be hoping to get Denmark back into the Final for the first time since 2019 .
