NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, have revealed that they are preparing a return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in 2025.
On THURSDAY, NRK revealed they wouldn’t be returning to the Contest in 2024. Now, NRK have revealed that they are preparing for a return in 2025. Melodi Grand Prix Junior (MGPjr), the former Norwegian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, hasn’t been held since 2022. A new national final needs to be in place, whether it’s a redeveloped MGPjr or a completely new selection, before NRK confirms 2025 participation.
