Today after a much anticipated wait, Norwegian broadcaster NRK has revealed the acts that will fight for the right to represent Norway at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö,Sweden. Eighteen acts with their songs will compete in three heats . Unlike in previous years, there will be no automatic qualifiers to the grand final , three acts from each heat will qualify for the Grand Final, chosen by 100% public voting . The three heats take place at the NRK studios in Oslo , the final as with previous years, will be held at Trondheim Spektrum . As you will see from the list we see the return of some familiar faces this year .The acts are as follows:

Dag Erik Oksvold &Anne Fagermo -“Judge Tenderly of me”

Eli Kristin-“Touch of Venus”

Farida -“Heartache”

Fredrik Halland-“Stranded”

Gothminster-“We come alive”

Gate -“Ulveham”

Ingrid Jasmin-“Eya”

KEiiNO -“Damdiggida”

Margaret Berger -“Oblivion”

Mathilde SPZ ft Chris Archer & Slam Dunk-“Woman Show”

Miia -“Green Lights”

Mileo -“You’re mine”

Mistra -“Waltz of Death”

Myra -“Heart of Fire”

Super Rob, Erika Norwich -“My Al”

Thomas Jenssen -“Take me to heaven”

Vidar Villa -“Mer”

FAMILIAR FACES

Margaret Berger , represented Norway when the contest was last held in Malmö in 2013 with “Feed you my love”. Will she be making a trip back there this year and better her 4th place?

KEiiNO represented Norway at the contest in Tel Aviv in 2019 with Spirit in the Sky .. They entered MGP again in 2021 but lost out to Tix and his song “Fallen Angel”. Will they be successful this year ?

Benedicte Adrian Represented Norway as part of Dollie de Luxe in Eurovision 1984 with “Lenge leve lit”. She also previously participated in Melodi Grand Prix 1982 with ” Det er deg skal ha”

Erika Norwich participated in MGP 2020 with Thomas Løseth and “Vertigo”.This year she will be alongside Super Rob.

Farida took part in MGP 2022 with “Dangerous”

Gothminster took part in MGP 2013 with “Utopia”, which was won that year by Margaret Berger , who is also in MGP this year.

Vidar Villa appeared in MGP 2018 with “Moren Din”

Heat 2-20th January 2024

Heat 3 -27th January 2024

Final -3rd February 2024

All shows will be hosted by Marion Ravn and Fredrik Solvang .

Last year Alessandra won the Norwegian ticket to the contest in Liverpool UK . She achieved a credible 5th place in the Grand Final with “Queen of Kings”. Who will succeed her this year?
