During the Press Conference for the 2023 Junior Song Contest earlier this week in Nice, the EBU responded to a question surrounding Armenia’s participation. Martin Österdahl, Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, had the following to say:
“For the moment, there is no definitive answer to this question, we will monitor the evolution of the situation.”
The situation in question is the ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Azerbaijan. During the last conflict, Armenia had to withdraw from participating in the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest – will history repeat itself?
