As we return to Yerevan for the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest this week, we thought we’d look back at the cities that have already hosted the Contest.

Kyiv

Kyiv hosted the 2009 and 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ukraine. In 2013, the Contest was held at the Palace Ukraine and was won by Malta. Gaia Cauchi performed “The Start”, taking victory with 130 points.

Lillehammer

Lillehammer hosted the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Norway. The Contest was held at the Håkons Hall and was won by Spain. María Isabel performed “Antes muerta que sencilla”, taking victory with 171 points.

Limassol

Limassol hosted the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Cyprus. The Contest was held at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center and was won by Georgia. Bzikebi performed “Bzz..”, taking victory with 154 points.

Marsa

Marsa hosted the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Malta. The Contest was held at the Marsa Shipbuilding and was won by Italy. Vincenzo Cantiello performed “Tu primo grande amore”, taking victory with 159 points.
