Jacek Kurski, the Head of Polish broadcaster TVP, believes that the broadcaster will not get the support from the European Broadcasting Union to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for a second consecutive year. Mr Kurski said the following:
“Of course, we will submit an application, we do not need to prove anything to anyone, everyone believes we can do the best show in the world, but I think the EBU decision will be disappointing for many of you.”
In terms of submitting applications to host next year’s Contest, TVP are the only broadcaster so far to submit an application. While it is unclear when next year’s Host Country will be announced, Poland was announced as the Host Country for this year’s event, last December.
