Georgian Idol started last night and is also been used to select the country’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. For the next few weeks, the audition rounds will be taking place.

The nine singers to progress to the next round last night are:

• Mariam Jordania
• Natia Nanobashvili
• Giorgi Nakashidze
• Mariam Goguadze
• Afik Navruzov
• David Kalandadze
