Bosnia-Herzegovina to withdraw from Eurovision 2014. Photograph BHRT

This evening the news from BHRT (The National Broadcaster of Bosnia and Herzegovina) is that they have made the decision to withdraw from Eurovision 2014. The Steering Committee of BHRT met today and participation at Eurovision 2014 was one of their agenda items.

After much discussion centered around the financing of the broadcaster, it was decided that the expense for participating at Eurovision was challenging for the broadcaster this year. BHRT have said that they will make all efforts to broadcast the contest live.
