The BBC, the British national broadcaster, has a brand new Eurovision special on BBC Radio Ulster, their Northern Irish radio station – called ‘Eurovision: This is Belfast Calling’.
Barra Best & Niamh Kavanagh get the party started ahead of this year’s competition in Liverpool. Expect Eurovision stars past and present, plenty of craic, super fans and loads of music of course. The duo also build up a case as to why Belfast should be the host city the next time Eurovision returns to these islands.
Niamh reflects on life 30 years on from her big win in Millstreet, County Cork. Ukrainian broadcaster Timur Miroshnychenko, one of this year’s presentation team, explains why he believes that the show must go on.
