🇸🇪 #AtoÖ #SWEDEN: Melodifestivalen Host Cities – Part 1/4

Last weekend, the 2023 Melodifestivalen concluded with Loreen taking victory. In this special #AtoZ or should I say #AtoÖ, we are looking at the Melodifestivalen Host Cities, since the Contest has gone on tour in 2002. Today we begin our journey around Sweden.

Eskilstuna

Eskilstuna has hosted the Second Chance round once in 2020, at the Stiga Sports Arena. Anis Don Demina, Paul Rey, Felix Sandman and Méndez feat. Alvaro Estrella qualified for the Final, by winning their duels. Anis Don Demina qualified with their entry “Vem e som oss”, with the most votes – 937,009.

Falun

Falun has hosted a Heat once in 2002, at Lugnet. Kikki, Bettan & Lotta qualified with their entry “Vem é dé du vill ha”, with the most votes – 66,048.

Gothenburg

Gothenburg has hosted Heats in 2002-2020 & 2023, at Scandinavium. In 2023, Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods qualified with their entry “Where You Are (Sávežan)”, with the most votes – 1,352,492.

Gävle

Gävle has hosted Heats in 2007 & 2016, at Monitor ERP Arena. In 2016, Frans qualified with his entry “If I Were Sorry”, with the most votes – 1,018,168.

Halmstad

Halmstad has hosted the Second Chance round once in 2016, at the Halmstad Arena. Panetoz, Boris René, SaRaha and Samir & Viktor qualified for the Final, by winning their duels. Panetoz qualified with their entry “Håll om mig hårt”, with the most votes – 965,823.

Helsingborg

Helsingborg has hosted the Second Chance round once in 2015, at the Helsingborg Arena. Linus Svenning, Hasse Andersson, Dinah Nah and Samir & Viktor qualified for the Final, by winning their duels. Samir & Viktor qualified with their entry “Groupie”, with the most votes – 628,022.

Jönköping

Jönköping has hosted Heats in 2003, at the Elmia Eventcenter & 2007, at Husqvarna Gardens. In 2007, Anna Book qualified with her entry “Samba Sambero”, with the most votes – 109,223.
