RTK, the Kosovo national broadcaster, have launched ‘Festivalit të Këngës’.

‘Festivalit të Këngës’ is a brand new Song Contest, which RTK hopes will select Eurovision Song Contest participants in the future. The Contest will fulfil RTK’s requirements to offer the public additional cultural and artistic events.

RTK aimed for EBU membership by the end of last year, 2022. While this has yet to happen, Mr. Ahmetxhekaj, RTK Director General, is hopeful this will happen soon, while Belarus and Russia are not active within the Union.
