The lyrics to the contribution “Sober”, which participates in Melodifestivalen’s third Heat, contain the name of a Vodka brand. Therefore, the lyrics in the song will be changed before this weekend’s competition.

Anders Wistbacka, Project Manager for Melodifestivalen 2023, had the following to say:

“Unfortunately, this is something that we have missed. There is a risk of undue favouring of a brand, which is why the words may not be performed in the context of SVT or Melodifestivalen. We have therefore contacted the record company and the text of the song with which the artist competes on Saturday will be changed.”
