NBC, the American national broadcaster, will not be broadcasting the American Song Contest in 2023.

Christer Björkman has confirmed this news, while he attended Benidorm Fest last week. He stated that the American Song Contest will not be held in 2023 but hopes that it can return in 2024. Christer carried on to say if NBC want to continue with the Contest and that five years is required to establish the Contest.
