TG4 has confirmed that Junior Eurovision Éire will once again be used. Participants will perform Irish-language cover versions of famous songs during the competition. Once the winner is announced, then the song that they will perform at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be written.

Applications for the Contest opened today and will close on Wednesday 15th February. All participants must be between 9 and 14 years old by autumn 2023 and must be either Irish nationals or residents. Applications can be made by the submission form HERE.

Sophie Lennon represented Ireland last year in Yerevan, with her song “Solas”. She achieved Ireland’s best result, with a 4th placing.
