
With a new representative selected for Ukraine at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest this weekend, during Festivali i Këngës 61, let’s take a look back at the alumni that they will be joining.
Albania debuted at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, in Istanbul, Turkey. Anjeza Shahini participated with “The Image of You”, finishing in 7th place and 106 points.
Ledina Çelo represented Albania at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv, Ukraine. She participated with “Tomorrow I Go”, finishing in 16th place and 53 points.
Luiz Ejlli represented Albania at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, in Athens, Greece. He participated with “Zjarr e ftohtë”, finishing in 14th place in the Semi Final and 58 points.
Frederik Ndoci represented Albania at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, in Helsinki, Finland. He participated with “Hear My Plea”, finishing in 17th place in the Semi Final and 49 points.
Olta Boka represented Albania at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, in Belgrade, Serbia. She participated with “Zemrën e lamë peng”, finishing in 17th place and 55 points.
