
As we return to Yerevan for the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest this week, we thought we’d look back at the cities that have already hosted the Contest.
Minsk
Minsk hosted the 2010 and 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Belarus. In 2018, the Contest was held at the Minsk Arena and was won by Poland. Roksana Węgiel performed “Anyone I Want To Be”, taking victory with 215 points. Ireland was represented by Taylor Hynes, who performed “IOU”. She finished in 15th place with 48 points.
Paris
Paris hosted the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in France. The Contest was held at La Seine Musicale and was won by Armenia. Maléna performed “Qami Qami”, taking victory with 224 points. Ireland was represented by Maiú Levi Lawlor, who performed “Saor (Disappear)”. She finished in 18th place with 44 points.
Rotterdam
Rotterdam hosted the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in The Netherlands. The Contest was held at the Ahoy Arena and was won by Belarus. Alexey Zhigalkovich performed “S druz’yami”, taking victory with 137 points.
Sofia
Sofia hosted the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bulgaria. The Contest was held at the Arena Armeec and was won by Malta. Destiny Chukunyere performed “Not My Soul”, taking victory with 185 points. Ireland was represented by Aimee Banks, who performed “Réalta na Mara”. She finished in 12th place with 36 points.
