
Over the course of this week, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are taking part at the Contest and their Junior Eurovision story so far. Today, we begin Ireland’s story.
Ireland debuted at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Aimee Banks participated with “Réalta na Mara”, finishing in 12th place and 36 points.
Zena Donnelly represented Ireland at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Valletta, Malta. She participated with “Bríce ar Bhríce”, finishing in 10th place (their best position) and 122 points.
Muireann McDonnell represented Ireland at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi, Georgia. She participated with “Súile Glasa”, finishing in 15th place and 54 points.
Taylor Hynes represented Ireland at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk, Belarus. He participated with “IOU”, finishing in 15th place and 48 points.
