
Over the course of November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are taking part at the Contest and their Junior Eurovision story so far. Today, we look at the United Kingdom’s story.
The United Kingdom debuted at the 2003 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tom Morley participated with “My Song for the World”, finishing in 3rd place and 118 points.
Cory Spedding represented the United Kingdom at the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Lillehammer, Norway. She participated with “The Best is Yet to Come”, finishing in 2nd place (their best position) and 140 points.
Joni Fuller represented the United Kingdom at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Hasselt, Belgium – their final participation to date. She participated with “How Does It Feel?”, finishing in 14th place and 28 points.
After a seventeen year wait, the United Kingdom returns for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia. Can Freya Skye take the United Kingdom’s first victory with “Lose My Head”, in Yerevan at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest?
