🇲🇹 #JESC22: Remembering Junior Eurovision 2016

Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the previous editions of the Contest. Today, we celebrate Valletta 2016.

On Sunday 20th November 2016, the 14th Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, Malta. The show was hosted by Ben Camille and Valerie Vella. The Interval Act was provided by Poli Genova, Destiny Chukunyere, Jedward and all the participants.

Cyprus, Israel and Poland returned. They joined Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Malta, North Macedonia (then known as FYR Macedonia), Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine. Montenegro, San Marino and Slovenia didn’t return for the 2016 edition.

1st Place: Georgia – Mariam Mamadashvili, “Mzeo”
