
Over the course of November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are taking part at the Contest and their Junior Eurovision story so far. Today, we begin Ukraine’s story.
Ukraine debuted at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bucharest, Romania. Nazar Slyusarchuk participated with “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll”, finishing in 9th place and 58 points.
Ilona Galitska represented Ukraine at the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She participated with “Urok hlamuru”, finishing in 9th place and 56 points.
Viktoria Petryk represented Ukraine at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Limassol, Cyprus. She participated with “Matrosy”, finishing in 2nd place and 135 points.
Andranik Alexanyan represented Ukraine at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv, Ukraine. He participated with “Try topoli, try surmy”, finishing in 5th place and 89 points.
Yulia Gurska represented Ukraine at the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk, Belarus. She participated with “Miy litak”, finishing in 14th and last place, with 28 points.
