
Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Lithuania.
Lithuania debuted at the Contest in 2007, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Lina Joy finished in thirteenth place with her entry “Kai miestas snaudžia”, scoring 33 points. This included one set of twelve points from the EBU.
The most successful entry from Lithuania was in 2008, when the Contest took place in Limassol, Cyprus. Eglė Jurgaitytė finished in third place with her entry “Laiminga diena”, scoring 103 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Serbia and the EBU.
The most recent Lithuanian entry was in 2011, when the Contest took place in Yerevan, Armenia. Paulina Skrabytė finished in tenth place with her entry “Debesys”, scoring 53 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Georgia and the EBU.
