
Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Sweden.
Sweden debuted at the inaugural Contest in 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Honeypies finished in fifteenth place with thier entry “Stoppa mig!”, scoring 12 points.
The most successful entry from Sweden was in 2006, when the Contest took place in Bucharest, Romania. Molly Sanden finished in third place with her entry “Det finaste någon kan få”, scoring 116 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from The Netherlands and the EBU.
The most recent Swedish entry was in 2014, when the Contest took place in Marsa, Malta. Julia Kedhammar finished in thirteenth place with her entry “Du är inte ensam”, scoring 28 points. This included one set of twelve points from the EBU.
