Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Latvia.
Latvia debuted at the inaugural Contest in 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their debut entry was also their most successful entry, when Dzintars Čīča finished in ninth place with his entry “Tu esi vasarā”, scoring 37 points.
The most recent Latvian entry was in 2011, when the Contest took place in Yerevan, Armenia. Amanda Bašmakova finished in thirteenth and last place with her entry “Moondog”, scoring 31 points. This included one set of twelve points from the EBU.
Join us on Monday, as we continue to celebrate the countries that have participated at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
