
Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Greece.
Greece debuted at the inaugural Contest in 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nicolas Ganopoulos finished in eighth place with his entry “Fili Gia Panta”, scoring 53 points. This included one set of twelve points from Cyprus.
The most successful entry from Greece was in 2005, when the Contest took place in Hasselt, Belgium. Alexandros & Kalli finished in sixth place with their entry “Tora Einai I Seira Mas”, scoring 88 points. This included three sets of twelve points – from Croatia, Cyprus and the EBU.
The most recent Greek entry was in 2008, when the Contest took place in Limassol, Cyprus. Niki Yannouchou finished in fourteenth place with her entry “Kapoia Nychta”, scoring 19 points. This included one set of twelve points from the EBU.
