VRT, the Dutch-language Belgian national broadcaster, ANNOUNCED the return of Eurosong back in August, for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
VRT have announced further details now – this time regarding song submissions. Open song submissions will not form part of the Eurosong 2023 selection process. Instead, the broadcaster has decided to work directly with record labels to find the Eurosong 2023 acts.
Gerrit Kerremans, VRT music coordinator, had the following to say:
“Due to the late decision to organise a pre-selection on Een. The A&R team has consulted a wide group of record labels and managers regarding the availability of potential candidates.”
