
Today, the 2022 Commonwealth Games continues to take place, in Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Each day throughout the Games, will be looking at the Commonwealth nations that have sent artists to the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we are looking at Canada.
Céline Dion (born as a Canadian) was Switzerland’s entry at in 1988, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Dublin, Ireland. Céline performed “Ne partez pas sans moi”, finishing in 1st place, with 137 points.
At the Commonwealth Games, Canada have had a successful medal haul before the 2022 Games began, with:
- 🥇 – 484
- 🥈 – 516
- 🥉 – 555
