
Tonight, after a four year break due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the 20th Eurovision Young Musicians took place in Montpellier, France. Nine countries performed in front of a jury made up of five jurors and Daniel Matejča took victory for the Czech Republic. The top three placings were as follows:
- First Place – Czech Republic: Daniel Matejča – Violin – Chostakovich: Violin Concerto No. 1 3rd and 4th movements Cadenza, Allegro con brio – Presto
- Second Place – Germany: Philipp Schupelius – Cello – Tchaikovsky: Pezzo Capriccioso op.62
- Third Place – Norway: Alma Serafin Kraggerud – Violin – Camille Saint-Saëns: Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso op.28
