
Today, the 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championship continues and we will be celebrating it this year, with a Eurovision twist.
Today sees Match Day 6 and Games 9 & 10 of the tournament. Austria will be playing Northern Ireland (UK) from 17:00 GMT/18:00 CET. England will be playing Norway from 20:00 GMT/21:00 CET. So which female Eurovision stars are we celebrating today?
Austria – Zoë (2016)
Zoë represented Austria at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, in Stockholm, Sweden. She finished in 13th place, with “Loin d’ici”.
Northern Ireland (UK) – The Mullans (1999)
The Mullans (born in Northern Ireland) represented Ireland at the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, in Jerusalem, Ireland. They finished in 17th place, with “When You Need Me”.
England (UK) – Molly (2014)
Molly represented the United Kingdom at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She finished in 17th place, with “Children of the Universe”.
Norway – Margaret Berger (2013)
Margaret Berger represented Norway at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmo, Sweden. She finished in 4th place, with “I Feed You My Love”.
