
On the lead up to the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is been held in Paris, we are looking back at all the countries to have participated in the Contest and their histories – past and present. Today we start Bulgaria’s story.
Bulgaria debuted at the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Bon-Bon participated with “Bonbolandiya”, finishing in 7th place and 86 points.
Krastyana Krasteva represented Bulgaria at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Limassol, Cyprus. She participated with “Edna mechta”, finishing in 15th and last place, 15 points.
After a three year wait, Bulgaria returned to the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia. Ivan Ivanov participated with “Superhero”, finishing in 8th and last place, with 60 points.
After a three year wait, Bulgaria returned to the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Marsa, Malta. Krisia, Hasan & Ibrahim participated with “Planet of the Children”, finishing in 2nd place (their best position) and 147 points.
