#ESC21: Celebrating Estonia At Eurovision

Over the course of April and May, on the lead up to the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are participating this year in Rotterdam. Today, we celebrate Estonia.

Estonia debuted at the Contest in 1994, in Dublin, Ireland. Silvi Vrait finished in twenty fourth place, with her entry “Nagu merelaine”, scoring 2 points.

The most successful entry from Estonia was in 2001, when the Contest took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL finished in first place with their entry “Everybody”, scoring 198 points. This included nine sets of twelve points from Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The most recent Estonian entry was due to be in 2020, when the cancelled Contest was due to take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Uku Suviste was due to represent Estonia with his entry “What Love Is”.

This year, Estonia will be represented by Uku Suviste with his song “The Lucky One”. Will Uku Suviste take Estonia to their second victory?
