Alexander Rybak
Alexander Rybak took Norway’s third victory in 2009 with “Fairytale”. However, Alexander returned to the Eurovision Song Contest for Norway, when Lisbon hosted the Contest in 2018. In Lisbon, Alexander performed “That’s How You Write A Song”, the 1500th song to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest. While he won his Semi Final with 266 points, he could only manage a 15th place and 144 points in the Final.
Bergen
Bergen hosted the 31st Eurovision Song Contest, at the Grieghallen, after Bobbysocks took victory for Norway in 1985. On home soil, Ketil Stokkan represented Norway in 1986 with “Romeo”. Ketil finished in 12th place, with a total of 44 points.
Composer Award
In 2015, Kjetil Mørland took home the Composer Award, in the Marcel Bezençon Awards, for “A Monster Like Me”. He performed the song alongside Debrah Scarlett, finishing in 8th place in the Final, with a total of 102 points.
Didrik Solli-Tangen
One of last year’s Melodi Grand Prix Finalists, represented his nation on home soil in 2010, in Oslo. Didrik Solli-Tangen represented Norway with “My Heart Is Yours”. Didrik placed a respectable 20th, with a total of 35 points.
Elisabeth Andreassen
Elisabeth Andreassen is the only Norwegian participant to finish in second place. Elisabeth performed “I evighet” in Oslo on home soil, in 1996. She scored 114 points, 58 behind Ireland.
