
Over the course of November and on the lead up to the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Armenia.
Armenia debuted at the Contest in 2007, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Arevik finished in second place with her entry “Erazanq!”, scoring 136 points. This included eight sets of twelve points – from Belgium, Cyprus, Georgia, Romania, Russia, The Netherlands, Ukraine and the EBU.
The most successful entry from Armenia was in 2010, when the Contest took place in Minsk, Belarus. Vladimir Arzumanyan took victory with his entry “Mama”, scoring 120 points. This included five sets of twelve points – from Belgium, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine and the EBU.
The most recent Armenian entry was in 2019, when the Contest took place in Gliwice, Poland. Karina Ignatyan finished in ninth place with her entry “Colours Of Your Dream”, scoring 115 points.
