
Over the course of November and on the lead up to the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom debuted at the inaugural Contest in 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tom Morley finished in third place with his entry “My Song for the World”, scoring 118 points. This included three sets of twelve points – from Belarus, Denmark and Malta.
The most successful entry from the United Kingdom was in 2004, when the Contest took place in Lillehammer, Norway. Cory Spedding finished in second place with their entry “The Best is Yet to Come”, scoring 140 points. This included one set of twelve points from The Netherlands.
The most recent entry from the United Kingdom was in 2005, when the Contest took place in Hasselt, Belgium. Joni Fuller finished in fourteenth place with her entry “How Does It Feel?”, scoring 28 points. This included one set of twelve points from the EBU.
